On the outside of the clock tower, you could see the large face with it's thin, pointy hands moving slowly clockwise and the ticking of the cogs turning was deafening. Hidden inside the tall, crooked tower was a young, radiant Princess who wore a violet, shimmering dress which was bewitched with a magic spell. On the bottom of the stunning, purple skirt, there was a bronze, metal cog which made the clock hands turn when she danced like a ballerina.
One day, the stunning, fascinating Princess, who was called Isabella, decided to leave the Clock Tower to explore the outside world and wanted to find out about the mysterious, colourful balloons which were gracefully floating past her window. Excited, she carefully stepped down from the metal machine and danced down the old, twisted staircase and flung open the wooden, creaking doors. Sadly, the lonely, beautiful Princess discovered that the whole town had been frozen in time like statues. What a dull, boring world it was!
Upsettingly, her wonderful, vibrant world had become a dull, black and white landscape. The houses had turned grey like stone, the sky was colourless and the crooked, old clock tower looked drab and dusty. The town was silent and eery and the smell of the delicious, fresh baking had disappeared! Sobbing, the Princess reluctantly returned to the prison of the tower and as soon as she matched her cog dress with the metal machine, the colour flooded back into the town below.
Speech and The Clock Tower
A few hours later, the Princess couldn't believe her ears...echoing through the rickety, twisted tower, she heard footsteps, creeping up the steep, creaking staircase.
"Is there someone there?" she muttered anxiously.
There was silence. Slowly, the door was pushed ajar and a shadowy figure stood, watching her spin and turn the rusty, metal cogs.
Suddenly, he found his voice after the shock of seeing the stunning, striking princess.
"Who are you?" the stranger inquired softly.
